Vacancy Announcement: Fundraising Intern, Kyrgyzstan

HelpAge International's vision is a world where older people fulfil their potential to lead active, dignified, healthy and secure lives. We are the secretariat of the HelpAge global network, bringing together more than 114 affiliates and 200 partners working with older people in over 50 countries.
HelpAge's programme in Kyrgyzstan is currently focused on Non-Communicable Diseases, in particular Diabetes; livelihoods activities; social protection; and advocacy, networking and campaigns to ensure older people's rights are respected and their voice is heard.


Qualification requirements
• Bachelor's degree in progress or higher in Nonprofit Management, Political Science, International Relations, Finance, Business, English, Communications, and Hospitality.
• Fluent in spoken and written English. English as a first language is an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills;
• Experience in fundraising;
• Experience in developing project proposals;
• Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications - Word, Excel, Power point, internet, etc.;
• Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines - to be able to prioritize clearly;
• Personal and professional integrity;
• Flexibility, initiative and a "can do" attitude;
• Meticulous attention to detail;
• Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability.


Duties
• Provide support to the project team in fundraising;
• Provide support in developing project proposals:
• Seek for potential donors and calls for proposal in Kyrgyzstan and abroad;
• Monitor funding opportunities;
• Keep updated donor`s pipeline;
• Bring up for discussion new funding opportunities;
• Undertake other assignments when requested.


Conditions
Intern will be based in Bishkek.

The internship is paid.
The internship is envisaged from November to February 2018 (3 months) with possibility of extension (subject to the office's needs and funding availability). The precise timing will be discussed and agreed with the potential intern.
